You have to wait for a certain specific time before you are able to plant on that field again. The damage of a Pea Shooter against the Zombies is simply normal but it is good enough to prevent one or two Zombies attacking at the same time. It can become more powerful if you are going to combine it with the Snow Pea, a type of plant that shoots Peas made of a cold snow. This will slow down the movement of these dead creatures allowing your Pea Shooters to inflict more hits.
