There are of course lots of sites out there where you pay for legal, downloadable or streaming movies - but there are several alternatives if you want to watch movies for free. Which you do.

Now, many sites featuring free, streaming and/or downloadable movies claim that everything there is legal and in public domain. Well, in many cases, that isn't the case. If you find a well-known movie, made the last 20-30 years or so, from a major company, rest assure it isn't in public domain.

But if you're looking for old black-and-white classics, obscure B-movies, weird cult movies, well, you can spend months, if not years, watching feature films online for free without having the cops knocking on your door.

A great, legal way to watch great programs, online. NBC’s Hulu may be the dominant video-streaming service for legally watching TV shows and movies, but its catalogue isn’t nearly comprehensive. Rival service Crackle fills in missing shows and films owned by Sony Pictures, in case you want to watch movies like Ghostbusters or Groundhog Day. Cracke’s collection isn’t as big as Hulu’s, but there are plenty of hidden gems here (Karate Kid II, anyone?).

One of the few things I usually do online aside from blogging and browsing is watching movies online. A lot of websites offer this service for free that's why I'm pretty sure a lot of other people do the same. There are also some sites who allow you to download these movies either for free or with pay but in a reasonable amount.
