The Controller has put it to me that as ‘Desperate times call for Desperate measures‘, I must deal directly with the Desperate situation of present day Celeb Cuture. But where do you start? I think the broader picture of, where celebrities have become the new sounding posts for anything Non Celebrity, is as good a place as any.

Since when did Naomi Campbell, George Clooney, Bono and Brangelina become the respected experts on anything from poverty to war to global finacial systems? Naomi may have a natural talent for beating up her hapless household staff, but is she reallty such an expert on apartheid?
