The CW Network announced that Smallville will return for a tenth and final season in the fall of 2010. Fans know how Clark's life is supposed to progress; they’re tuning in to see how it happens. The Smallville writers will satisfy viewers if they anticipate what we want to see and give it to us. Case in point: Tom Welling said from the outset that he never wanted to wear the Superman costume. That’s certainly understandable, but if he doesn’t put on the red and blue tights at least once, the viewers will be disappointed.

It has been suggested that the major villain for Smallville’s final season will be Darkseid of Apokolips from Jack Kirby’s New Gods. Darkseid would make an intriguing opponent, but another alien foe in the tradition of Zod and Doomsday further removes Smallville from its “life on the farm” origins. The transformation to superhero/action series was inevitable, but efforts should be made for the series to reconnect with its roots in the final season. The show should not just be a look ahead toward what Clark is about to become, but a look back to where he came from.

I can’t speak for any other viewers, but to make it easier for the writers to keep me happy during this last season I will make a list of what I want to see take place in Smallville’s final year. My list will include things fans of Superman comics should appreciate, and I’m sure viewers will support at least a few of my ideas. For all it's up and downs, I have stayed with Smallville (for the most part) and it finally looks like that it's paying off.
Yeah I know, it only took ten years.
I loved last season (season 9), and this final season could be even better.
I say "could" because I have seen Smallville really fumble the ball more than once.

It was recently reported by the CW network that their hit series “Smallville” will return for a tenth and final season. The cast of this remarkably durable show has changed over the years, but two things have remained constant: 1) Clark still can’t fly, and 2) the ladies in the cast have always been strong and beautiful. Lois, Lana, Kara, Tess, and Chloe have graced the small screen for the last decade, and even Mrs. Kent is extremely attractive. What these comic characters might lack in sophistication, they more than make up for in charm.

Ye, i kno Smallville. It's fantastic. I have been engaged with each Smallville episode since mid-way through the first season & couldn't help myself but watch every season till present. The twist & turns of each episode have had good & bad case scenarios. I'm finally onto season 9. On my lens i'll be including some stuff about it, just one of the many things that will we feature.

I was a loyal Smallville watcher up to about season three.
Since i was a comic book fan, I loved the idea of a "Superman: The Early Years" TV show.
And I think at the beginning, they did really well.
However the show began to deteriorate into "Smallville:90210" and I lost interest.
I lost interest so much that I quit watching, only catching occasional shows online.

But then I heard about Absolute Justice and the geek inside me stirred big-time.
Yes, it appeared that Smallville was going to bring to life the Justice Society of America.
