The band Hurts promoted the release of their debut album, Happiness, with an interactive audiobook, written by Joe Stretch and narrated by Anna Friel. This kind of nonlinear storytelling was also used by digital media artists Fifty Nine when producing Judith Adams web video play Sweet Fanny Adams in Hypertext Eden. The play is made up of short episodes which can be watched in any order. This article examines these projects and suggests ways to develop further on the idea, utilising simple features found in social media tools and platforms, such as playlists.
