Pedantic Hubpages!
Hub Scam? NO! Hub pages
Hub Scam? NO!
Hub pages certainly does not produce the Adsense Revenue other writing sites do, such as Xomba.com and Snipsly.com. But, a scam? I have to disagree. I get revenue from Hub, usually on a daily basis, just not in the higher amounts I do from the other sites, and, occasionally, Hub beats out Snipsly and Xomba.
If you're not seeing the results you want regarding Adsense Revenue, I have found the problem usually is on my end, in regards to better keywording, title of article may need to be changed, etc.
As much as we hate to hear it, the better the SEO given an article, the better the revenue. And, SEO (search engine optimization)? It's such an illusive science. I am still, even after online writing for four years, still learning the how-to.
I have not tried Hub yet. My
I have not tried Hub yet. My guess is, like many of the sites where you promote content and share revenue, earnings are tied to a tricky, non-understandable formula. Sometimes that formula is keyword related, sometimes it is related to your content being able to pull the right ads and sometimes it is related to your activity on the site as a participating member.
How long have you been writing for them?
How long? About 2 1/2 years.
How long? About 2 1/2 years. I regularly post to Xomba and Snipsly, and, not as much to Hub anymore, because of the revenue generation.
I have several articles on Hub which need regular updating. Xomba is hard to update on because of the way articles are cataloged. Snipsly has the same problem as Xomba. If you have lots of articles, which I do, it's hard to locate a previous article on. That's one thing I can say good about Hub - its easy to find past articles on. I also get much better commenting on articles posted to Hub.
So, all the sites have good and bad about them. But, to single Hub out as being a scam is really unfair.
I get an Adsense check almost every month and my revenue breaks down sorta like Xomba=50%, and Xomba revenue has been falling, Snipsly=35%, and its revenue is rising, and Hub=10%, and it never seems to rise or fall.
I certainly do not point folks to Hub. I recommend Snipsly and Xomba. I am a believer of the fact that articles need SEO or they do not go anywhere.
In a time before April 2009, I never worried about SEO, and I made virtually no money. Then I got serious and started studying the process. I'm still a babe-in-Adsense-land, but, I am seeing revenue come up a lot...

I could not get passed the angry tone of this article. Why so upset? So you are tired of people complaining. You do not have to pass on your negectively onto your viewers. I'm a fan of yours on HubPages. I get the purpose of your HubPages article. But wow, I do not think I'll be going back to yoursite anytime soon. After being screamed at like that, why would I?
