If you are an HVAC service mechanic, then you know that every time you enter into someone's home. . . .there's no way to know what to expect. You also know that you have to do your best to please the customer. Everyone knows that the customer "is always right."
If you are not a hvac service mechanic, but are considering becoming an hvac service mechanic, then this story is one that you'll definitely not want to miss out on reading. Consider it a cautionary tale.
Another important thing to remember is that hvac service personnel often have to work seventy to ninety hours a week during Spring and Summer months. Sure, we make some decent money during those times, but the human body and mind has limits of endurance. Customers who are not comfortable are often cranky customers, and if an hvac service technician is in a customer's home - then you know already that they are uncomfortable, and that they are about to have to spend some money that they'd much rather have to spend on something else. Such is life.
Anyways, this is the tale of the very worst customer relations experience that I ever suffered through in my hvac career. If you work long enough in that industry - then you are likely to have a similar story; but perhaps this cautionary tale will either prepare you for it, or give you ideas on how to overcome such adversity.
